Lt. Tim Pearson's Wife-2nd LEN - Wednesday, July 02, 2008
It is with deep sorrow and regret that we inform you of the untimely death of Beth Pearson, wife of Lieutenant Tim Pearson, 2nd Circuit Law Enforcement Network Coordinator. Mrs. Pearson passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2008.
A memorial service for Beth Pearson will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 @ 1800 hours at the Our Lady of Peace Church. The church is located at 854 Old Edgefield Road in North Augusta, SC. South Carolina Highway Safety/TSO Conference - Thursday, June 26, 2008
The annual South Carolina Highway Safety Conference and Traffic Safety Officer's (TSO) Conference will be held in Columbia at the Radison Hotel and Conference Center off I-20 and Bush River Road from September 23 - 25, 2008. LEN grant funds can be used for registration and travel expenses as long as that is approved by the Office of Highway Safety and the Coordinator for the specific LEN. Coordinators, please send Dennis or Larry an e-mail requesting this for each person in your network you want to sponsor. The Academy will be holding a class for DUI/SFST Recertification during this conference for all certified officers who are currently certified as DUI/SFST Practitioners. Call Dale Smith at the Academy for more information.

Annual MADD DUI Enforcement Recognition Ceremony - Thursday, June 26, 2008
The annual DUI Enforcement Recognition Ceremony sponsored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) will be held on Wednesday, July 23 at 11:00 AM at Seawell's in Columbia, SC. Please make every effort to attend this event and support DUI Enforcement in our state!

To all agencies that help OHS with stepped up enforcement during the Memorial Day BUSC campaign, our heartfelt THANKS! We can save lives, one day at a time! Please don't forget to report your numbers for the BUSC Campaign as well as for the month of May.
